Unclean Old Testament
Unclean: 2932 tumah from 2930 [to be foul; contaminated]; relig impurity:- filthiness, unclean (-ness)
Theological Word Book states: “Personal uncleanness could be incurred through birth, menstruation, bodily emissions, “leprosy”, sexual relations and misdeeds and contact with the dead.”

The Process of Defilement
Contamination from contact with outside source à Taint follows the loss of purity or cleanliness à Pollute completes the process of contamination with the end result of being made foul, poisoned, or filthy = Defilement is the befouling of what could or should have been kept clean and pure or held sacred and suggests violation or desecration.
Defile: OT 2930 tame; to be foul, esp in a ceremonial or moral sense; contaminated: defile (self), pollute (self), be (make, make self, pronounce) unclean
“The greatest uncleanness was idolatry which defiled the temple and the land.”
Ezekiel 14:11 “That the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me, nor be profaned anymore with all their transgressions, but that they may be My people and I may be their God," says the Lord

Vexed: 1139 daimonizomai (where we get the word demonized) from 1142 [daimon (to distribute fortunes); a demon or supernatural spirit (of a bad nature):-devil); to be exercised by a demon
What a devil does = tries to distribute our fortunes = but I'm here to tell you that the only “fortunes” that are going to be “distributed” are the strong man's!
The Strong Man = Unclean Spirit

After Expulsion
- Walks through: traverse – something that crosses or lies across; obstacle, adversity; a route or way across or over
- Dry: waterless, dry
- Places: a spot, a location, fig. A condition, opportunity; scabbard [a sheath for a sword, dagger or bayonet]
- Seeking: to seek; to worship (God); or (in a bad sense) to plot against life
- Rest: intermission,; recreation
- Finding none: Finding none!
- Then he says: Confession
- Return to my house: pretty bold!
- Empty: to take a holiday; to be at leisure; devote oneself wholly to; to be vacant
- Swept: from “to brush off”; a broom, to sweep
- Garnished: to put in proper order; to decorate; to snuff (a wick)
Before Expulsion
- Strong: Forcible
- Armed: To equip fully with armor (The enemy has armor too)
- Palace: (same word as “air”); a yard, a mansion
- Keepeth: Through the idea of isolation; to watch; to be on guard
- Goods: A vessel, implement, equipment or apparatus; spec a wife as contributing to the usefulness of the husband.
- Peace: Peace, prosperity
When The Strong-er Man Comes
- Stronger: Forcible
- Overcome: To subdue
- Armor: Whole armor: [same word as “vex” – to experience a sensation usu painful]
- Trusted: To convince; to pacify or conciliate; to assent to evidence or authority; to rely by inward certainty
- Divides: To give throughout a crowd; deal out; to deliver over
- Spoils: Something stripped (as a hid); booty
Matt 12:29 & Mark 3:27 Spoil: To seize asunder; plunder
Paraphrase: “When the unclean, foul demon making me sick, deaf, DUMB and blind is gone and he's looking for another route and he finds a dry and waterless sheaf – the place, the container where the Sword of the Spirit is kept – and he is looking for an opportunity, a plot against my life, to find a place of rest, recreation and intermission and finds none somewhere else and uses his words speaking his plan to return to MY house – a place he is familiar – and if by chance, I've brushed off the need to be on guard, gone on vacation – checked out – and I'm looking good on the outside – this foul thing is going after seven demons worse than him to bring back with him to take up residence in MY body.
OH, NO HE'S NOT!
I WILL WORSHIP THE STRONGER MAN!
I WILL PRAY!
I WILL SPEAK THE WORD OF MY DELIVERANCE!
I WILL WORSHIP THE SAVIOR OF MY SOUL!
I WILL NOT BE TAKEN CAPTIVE AGAIN!
I AM NOT IGNORANT OF SATAN'S DEVICES!
