Cell Group Defined: Any small group of 5-15 people who gather together with a constant, intentional, passionate FOCUS on: (1) evangelization , (2) edification ; and (3) multiplication . A cell group generally meets in a home or workplace but any group (e.g., Sunday School, Wed. Night Classes, Choir, etc.) can be classified as a cell if it meets the above requisites .
NOTE: We want to be perfectly clear, if a group focuses only on edification
(e.g., bible study, prayer and fellowship), and is not focused on evangelization
(e.g., REACHING the unsaved, unchurched and unconnected ), nor multiplication
(e.g., the leaders multiplying themselves by raising up others to do what they do) then it is not a cell.

REASON #1: Cell Groups Provide Great Opportunities for FellowSHIP
Cells offer a great opportunity to develop relationships, providing a real and relevant spiritual family.
People are longing for caring connections with others, where “ everybody knows your name .”
(Eph. 1:6; I Cor. 15:58; Acts 2:44-45; 4:23).
REASON #2: Cell Groups Provide Great Opportunities for Evangelism
The most effective way to reach the unsaved, unchurched and unconnected (non-cell attenders) is through relationships (Lk. 7:34; 14:23). Jesus was known as a “friend of sinners.” Our neighbors, work associates and those in our “circle of influence” may feel more comfortable in our homes than they would inside a church building.
